This dress had full seamed edges, rather than just the raw, surged edges on the hems. It is sewn like regular clothes, rather than the cheapie way of most costumes. It fits large on both of them, especially around the neck. I bought the toddler size for a child that wears 2T and a size small for a child that wears size 5/6. But, I guess too big is better than too small! The dress is cute and the girls love them because they look so royal. Mostly, the 5 stars are for their customer service. The size small I received came torn all along one of the front seams. We were heartbroken! I emailed the company to set up a return. They quickly got back to me and were extremely helpful! I didn't have to send them the torn dress and they shipped me out a new dress right away! As an alternative, they offered to refund the cost of the dress so I could have it repaired, although I doubt that the original dress can be fixed easily.
