No skin discoloration, no tarnishing/change in color of the metal. I have NOT worn it in the shower, swimming pool or ocean. I do not believe it looks fake. I was really looking forward to receiving it, but I guess the cons are outweighing the pros.What I like about it: I've only had it for a day, but the product does seem pretty sturdy, It's a chunkier type of necklace, which I wanted.What I dislike about it: The color is more yellow than most of my gold plated jewelry and more yellow than the pictures posted by the seller. In my opinion this cheapens the look of the product. I took a picture of it next to a gold plated hoop I own but in the picture the difference in color isn't as visible as in person.
