I can't really comment about the valerian scent but I googled it out of curiosity and found out that it has a sharp aroma that's usually paired with other calming herbs. I'm unsure if valerian added into your bath will produce the same effects as taking valerian orally for insomnia. Nevertheless, the aroma of these wonderful bath salts really do make you feel relaxed and ready for a good night's shut eye. I really love lavender and I think it's an underrated floral. The bath salts do it justice, especially by toning it down a little with jasmine. This is worth buying as an alternative to bath bombs.
