Could it just be layed over butyl and then covered with the carpet** A: I would say it doesn’t have to be glued down. I just finished a 1970 Chevelle from the firewall to the top of the back wall. I did tack glue it on the sides at the door jam and kick panels just so the carpet lays flat, otherwise the mat “lifts” at the edge and disturbs the lay of the carpet. I would buy more if I need to do another vehicle. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't Cheap Out! Buy this! *by C***V on July 20, 2020* I left a review for Damplifier Pro prior to this. I had spent a long time deliberating between brands, trying to save myself a few dollars. In the end, I went with Damplifier Pro and had no regrets. This review is the same story.Just for my own curiosity, I priced out competitors MLV, some with the extra layers, and some without. While the Luxury Liner Pro appears pretty dang expensive, what you get for it is actually a good deal. Two small boxes appeared on my doorstep 2 days after ordering. I went to lift the boxes and immediately thought "ok, this is good stuff..." Upon removing one of the rolls, I was very happy with the appearance, the weight, and zero stench. Even though this stuff is thick, it does conform fairly well to floorpan geometry. We put this in a '69 Mach 1, so the floor isn't necessarily as intricate as some modern vehicles. I only had to make 3 small relief cuts to get it to lay flat up around the transmission tunnel. I did not use adhesive because the carpet is molded, and the seats bolt in from under the car, so that will hold it in place. If you don't have a method of holding the MLV down like this, you should consider spray adhesive just so it doesn't slide around.Once the carpet was in, it had a much more pleasant, cushioned feel. I haven't driven the car yet since the engine isn't in at the moment, but the difference is astounding already. Previously, it was carpet on bare floorpans. It rattled and sounded like a tin can. Now, I can notice a massive difference and the interior isn't even put all of the way back together yet. I'm looking forward to having a quiet and comfortable muscle car. My days of tinned out street/strip cars are over.Buy this, you will not regret it. You may save a whopping $15 going a different route, but there is no way it will be this nice. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great stuff! *by S***Y on April 6, 2019* This stuff works awesome! So far I've only added the luxury liner pro on the whole driver side floor over dynamat extreme. I also put under drive seat, I took the seat out and lined all down the seat bracket on front side and back side then cut a slit on each side for the seat bolts to screw in through the pad back into the frame. And it oversatisifed me! I drive a 13 Camry and it now feels like a high end luxury car. Can barely feel any bumps in the road what so ever, even at 90 mph can hardly feel or hear anything! If done right I highly reccomend! Doing trunk in the near future! Also from what another post said, yes the ends dont meet with each other but it's only like a quarter of an inch on each side, not a big deal what so ever very easy to cut to whatever suits your needs. And no it has no smell to it at all, or atleast mine didnt. But what did have a very big smell was the adhesive spray that I used. Not much of a bad smell over like a day or so it kinda has like a new car type smell to it.
