Coverage is good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One coat coverage that rises above student grade level *by on Reviewed in the United States February 19, 2026* The expensive name brand artist quality black gesso I've used in the past just lost a customer. I relied on buyer's reviews when I risked buying this black gesso; the price was lower so I feared the quality would suffer. I found it to be excellent, as good as the high priced, artist quality name brand product I've relied on in the past. I gave it a good stir and it covered my substrate with one coat and went on smoothly. In my opinion It rises above the student grade designation and the ones so named that I've tried in the past. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great primer for cardboard *by on Reviewed in the United States July 24, 2026* We hosted a Minecraft themed party for my 9 year old grandson and needed to paint 100 cardboard boxes to look like Minecraft blocks. Using acrylic pain alone caused some warping. Priming with this stuff solved that problem. We used less than a gallon on 100 boxes. Very happy with how fast it dried. We rolled it on with 4” foam rollers. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/15390821-handy-art-acrylic-gesso-16-oz-white-primer-for-artist](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/15390821-handy-art-acrylic-gesso-16-oz-white-primer-for-artist) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
