This worked perfectly. I was surprised that there were no instructions but if you've had upwards of a hundred assorted filters over the 40 years of fish keeping, there was nothing difficult. The only thing that might give someone trouble is the mysterious plastic wavelike piece. This is a flow diverter that attaches to the bottom of the tank outflow. Overall works perfectly. I'll report back with an update if my opinion changes.I would have given 5 stars but for the missing instructions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a nice pump, with a better media cartridge. *by J***H on April 22, 2016* I was asked a question, " what type of cartridge do i use for this pump?" Too save money i purchased from Petco a Carbon & Zeolite blend for $5, also from the dollar store a pack of extra thick scouring pads plastic of course. The Zeolite keeps toxins and ammonia levels low. This is something the cartridge that came with pump does not include. I have a 30 gallon tank with 10 hungry cichlids of different assortment.
