The electric knife is much like a bread knife, serrated, long & narrow. Not so sure any kind of wood saw would work, but what might also work if you're careful is a soldering iron. Make a line with a felt tip pen to be your guide for a straight line. If you don't have an electric knife, you might try finding one at Goodwill or the likes.
