The vitamin C serum "Timeless" appears to be particularly effective at fading these spots. I've noticed a decrease in their darkness within just a week. I recommend this product, but it's a good idea to check online or consult your doctor for proper application instructions. The plastic cap on the glass bottle, however, doesn't fit well, it snaps on but with a very weak "grab," can easily come off. I experienced this firsthand when I was shaking the bottle to mix its ingredients, and holding mostly the cap, the glass bottle slipped out of my hand and shattered in the sink. The company should consider a screw-on or more secure SNAP-ON design cap, as shaking to mix bottle's contents is common. When I contacted Amazon and explained the issue, a helpful assistant listened carefully, asked for a photo of the broken bottle I had already taken, and a new one arrived in just 1 hour and 10 minutes.
