I said to my wife to just ask for the same one as she had, but after reading the reviews about this product, ALL 5*, she thought she could save her friend money and get a better machine. WHAT A MISTAKE. My wife loves being hair free. She IPL's her legs, armpits and entire intimate area using IPL. She was down to shaving her legs and armpits once a month and her intimate area about every 6 weeks, even then, there wasn't much hair to shave, but she still used her IPL machine twice a week. When this IPL machine finally turned up, she was so excited as she hoped she would only need to use it for a few more months and she would be completely hair free. She took it out the box and she immediately felt the difference, this was at least half the weight of her old Phillips and she said it felt quite flimsy by comparison. But, she thought maybe the difference was because it was a different brand. When she used it, she had to stop as it got quite hot and she was scared it would burn her skin, particularly around her intimate area. She asked me to take a plate to rest it on, as it was very hot and she didn't want to put in a surface that could catch fire. She tried to use it again a few days later, then she binned it. Even though she only it twice, it left her skin red and it was a little painful to use. I told her to get her friend to return it and get the money back, but she said she didn't even want to give the company the feedback of asking for her money back. She has since bought a proper IPL machine from Phillips. Her new IPL machine doesn't (at the time of writing this review) have 54 (yes 54) 5* star reviews in just over 5 weeks, and ZERO between 1* & 4*. I have reported every one of the reviews for this product and I have also complained to desertcart regarding this seller clearly faking their reviews.
