This happens due to substandard materials and malfunctioning pressure relief valves. Mine split across the top about 20” and had it not been for my backyard Ring Camera I may have had an empty pool that’s about 28,000 gallons. These units have a long history of poor quality and failing structurally. A $700 piece e of junk that could cost you thousands in so many ways. And the SELLER ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT stand behind these units past 30 days. 1 year—“forget about it” My Hayward system lasted 20 years and while the price nearly tripled in 20 years it’s built to industry standards for quality and more importantly SAFETY!
