It looks just like the picture. My only complaint is the fabric is very thin so every lump and bump is visible. I was looking at dresses for $120 and more without any success, so discouraging. Then I decided to get this one off of Amazon, so glad I did! When it came I tried it on and fell in love with it. It is the perfect length on me (I am 5'4") a pair of slip-on shoes will work perfectly with it. The way it hangs is very appealing and the added layer of the lace hides most of my imperfections.
