My machine indicated that there was considerable leakage. To avoid returning to a full nasal mask, I bought this strap. It worked; leakage was reduced by nearly 80% on most nights. The key to success with a strap is to attain a firm lift on the chin. This means that the straps must be snug. The only problem with the straps is that they can be difficult to adjust. In addition, the covering on the straps seems to be coming off.
