Review: Good lights at a good price - I bought 5 of these for my basement. Installation was easy- just ran wire from a couple of junction boxes to the new fixtures. There were enough screw holes along the length of the fixtures that I was able to attach each one to 2 joists, plus add grounding screws to each fixture. The tabs for inserting wire are ONLY on the top of the fixture, so you need to have access from above, and you can't install the fixture lengthwise along a joist. Wire clamps are not included, so you'll need to have those on hand for proper installation to code, but I'm pretty sure that's typical. The fixtures power on to full brightness quickly, look good, and no annoying buzzing sound. For the price, it's nice to have the diffuser (cover) to give a bit of a finished look, although there is nothing fancy about them. I wouldn't want to install this fixture in a finished area. Recommended!
Review: Lighting can be exepensive - these lights are reasonably priced, well built and really light up our garage area - I bought four of these to replace two really poorly made fixtures that came with the house and bit the dust. These lights are a breeze to install, and I love the removable wire cover and bulb cover feature. These lights have to be wired (they don't come with a cord that plugs into an outlet), but there's plenty of room for wiring under the removable wire cover, the ballast leads are plenty long, and there are multiple knockouts and pre-drilled installation holes to suit different installations. And they look good once installed - especially compared to our previous bare bulb type installation. But the best thing about them - the light!. I bought the Sylvania T8 32W bulbs and man do these things put out the light. Any nits? The clear bulb cover is plastic and to install or remove, you bend the cover around the lip on the light fixture frame. It took some getting used to when I was on a ladder and looking up, but after a couple of times it was a snap. Overall, I could not be more pleased with these light fixtures.

**Q: Dims. are long? in inches? width? in inches?**
A: 48 1/4 long by 8 1/4 wide.  2 1/4 inches thick.

**Q: What is the low temperature rating on the ballast?**
A: Not sure of the rating but ours were installed 4yrs ago and this winter when we dipped down to 8 degrees (32 in the building) they went out. One didn't come back and I'm replacing it.

**Q: how do I remove the old bulb it wont turn, feels like I'm going to break it if I keep turning it.**
A: If working it back and forth don't work you might have to take it apart and pull the connectors apart, that hold the end of the tubes in there.  If you have a pair of pliers you might be able to turn it at the end where the metal connectors are,  make sure the electric is off and you wrap something around the tube, that rubber shelf liner will help grip the tube better then a cloth.

**Q: Does this fixture come with stem hangers and a pull chain to turn it on?**
A: Can't help with the stem hanger question but it does not have a pull chain. It is direct wired and switched at the wall.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic lights

We bought 3 of these lights in 2011 for a barn and they have worked extremely well. Two of the lights are still operating with the same bulbs (and are on 15hrs a day.) We did have to replace one of the lights this week, so I re-ordered from my history. To my surprise the light is a new updated model. I figured this out because the screw holes were different, so I had to drill new holes to affix it. The bulb inputs are also slanted and different. The new one seems to work great. I want to note Amazon has changed in packaging these. When we ordered the first 3, they were shipped in manufacturers packaging and the covers arrived cracked and broken. I knew this was a possibility ahead of time, but I didn't have time to shop locally and had these shipped with Prime. The new fixture that was ordered in 2015 arrived in manufactures packaging, in an outer box with bubble wrap, so it arrived perfect. These are super easy to install and I've been happy with the lifespan of the lights and energy use.
