We were taking our first trip to NYC and wanted to have a decent set of luggage instead of the random pieces/duffle bags we have been using. All of the pieces are large with an extra zipper to create more space if needed. Although the small pieces are within the size to use as a carry on, at both airports the crew checked them at the gate, so we didn't get to actually put them in the overhead. They came home with a few scuffs/scratches but no tears. I am pleased overall with their look and performance.
