**Q: How thick is this tape?**
A: Thank you for your question! 3M 03441 Red Lens Repair Tape is approximately 6-6.5 mils thick.

**Q: OK to apply over automotive clear coat ?**
A: 3M™ Clear Repair Tape patches splits, cracks, tear, holes and other damage that occurs in a vehicle interior over time. This tape should not be used on the exterior of the vehicle.  Doing so may cause difficulty removal and may damage vehicle paint surfaces. Please contact us at 877-666-2277 option 2 so we can gather more information regarding your application.

**Q: could you put this on the inside of the lens to darken it when using white led bulbs that are too bright?**
A: I used it on something similar actually. I had new lights with leds and clear lens, but I simply put it on the outside! It gives you a shade of light red. As to darkening, its not that dark.

**Q: I have a small chip that overlaps between the red and amber portions of the taillight. Can I use the clear sheet or will it be noticeable?**
A: It was seamless...not noticeable at all for me.
