It is shorter, so it does not hit the binder on the Janome Coverpro as it would with the regular foot, and it has a ridge along the right side that keeps the fabric from slipping out from under the foot as you apply the binding.
Review: Compatable with the Elna Coverpro - Confirmed to work on the Elna Coverpro. Was not in the product description but I took a chance since Elna is now owned by Janome ( or maybe it is the other way around) the food fits perfectly on the Elna.

This clear foot allows you to see what you are binding as it feeds through.
