It wasn’t clear if the “no fabric softeners” was only liquid fabric softeners.** A: No. The first couple of washes you will not see a drop in performance but you will eventually. The same agent that "softens" the fabric will eventually make it water repellent which will leave smears and the like. There are videos that show the water repellency of the lint trap after using dryer sheets you can look up. None of my performance fabrics get fabric softener. **Q: Is this machine washable?** A: Yes. but fabric softeners are not good for them, and some of mine have frayed a bit due to the unfinished edging.
