However when I received it and looked online (through the barcode they sent with the plant) it stating that it's a dwarf shrub (NOT A TREE like it says online) I was disappointed and tried to reach the company with no luck. **Q: What variety is this, what cultivar? is it a hybrid of two species? i've read that pakistan mulberry is either macroura or alba or alba x rubra?** A: I am not the grower or seller so to the best of my knowledge this is a Pakistan mulberry. It has grown fast for me and is now almost 5 foot tall with big leaves. Mulberries are not hybrids ( that I know of ). Paskistan mulberry trees come from overseas and are not native to the USA. They grow tall, about 30 foot and have fruit that is about 3 inches or longer. I prune my mulberries to stay small, like a shrub so I can pick them easily. They are very delicious fruit and if you summer prune after they bear fruit it stresses the tree and causes it to bear again. I live in Florida so I have a long growing season. You can also take stem cuttings and dip the ends in rooting hormone. The young plants have roots in a month or so and can be planted out. The ones I do this way bear fruit in two years.
