Review: Worth the price! - My wife is Spanish and I've been to Spain several times, so I know what good Iberian jamon is. We heard Costco had jamon Iberico about a month before Thanksgiving but those sold out in a day. We started looking online and found this shoulder on desertcart. There weren't many reviews so my wife checked this company out in Spain, all reviews were top notch so that was all we needed to hear. I have to say we were very pleased with this ham. It may seem pricey if you haven't had it before, but if you have, then you know it's not a bad deal for U.S. prices. If we were in Spain, it would be much less expensive! I hope it becomes more readily available in the U.S. soon. This is very good jamon Iberico and we received the order quickly. I'm glad it came with the stand, we already had a nice carving knife but that was also an included bonus. We would recommend this to anyone who likes high grade acorn fed jamon Iberico, it is very high quality and worth the price to us. The flavor of fresh carved jamon like this is the best in the world. We will likely order it again!

- Ingredients: 100% Iberico Pure Breed Pork Ham, Mediterranean Sea salt. Cured for 16-24 months. Minimally processed. HOOF REMOVED ACCORDING TO US LAW.
- The iberico acorn-fed shoulder ham is a single piece obtained from the forelimbs of the Iberian pig, characterized by its streamline shape, the fineness of its shaft, with a black hoof, soft shiny fat and smooth texture.
- It has an exquisite, delicate flavor with an especially prolonged aroma on the palate. The shoulder ham comes from Iberico pigs that feed on aromatic grasses, legumes and natural grains that are high in sodium, fiber and protein.
- Small white-colored "specks" or "crystals" can be seen when cut, which are a sign of a slow curing process, low salinity and superb quality. Should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight.
- Best consumed within 6 months of purchase. Shelf life once opened is 1 month. Presentation: Whole, bone-in, skin on and hoof removed according to US Law. USDA approved. Cardboard box for safe transit.

**Q: Does this product come with instructions for building the stand? My order did not arrive with instructions.**
A: I don’t recall it did, but it was very easy to assemble!

**Q: How do you store the ham once you start slicing?**
A: You keep it covered with a clean cloth, just to keep it getting dusty, and you leave it on the counter. Also, save the slices of skin and fat that you peel off and use them to cover the meat. It will last about a month this way.

**Q: can this Jamon be purchased without the stand or knife? Already have this. This.**
A: Not if it is offered as part of the package.

**Q: Does the ham have to be refrigerated??**
A: No. It is best to just slice the amount of ham you want to consume. Any leftovers should probably be refrigerated.
