Review: Good quality, value for money. - There are welders for less, welders with more power, some with Plasma Cutting, but none of those have the build and quality of the YesWelder brand. Lots to like, a couple of things no so much. Biggest niggle is the lack of a hook on the gun to hang it while adjusting clamps etc. My last gas-less welder has a hook on the gun, I guess was spoiled. Next niggle, flux welding, on the materials settings sheet it recommends wire speed 179, dc volts 18.3 for 16 ga steel. Well, you had better giddy up at that setting, if too slow the welder makes holes. To fill those I went 67 fpm wire speed, 17.2 volts. Does not show amps in flux mode before you start but, oddly does WHILE the welder is welding. Weird. Otherwise it pops spot welds in 'thousand and ' only no need for any numbers ...lol My old gas-less needed full 4 secs to do the same work. As I said, what's not to love about this machine. Good size, compatible with my needs, easy to use, not too heavy, 37 lbs, versatile.

I purchased the YESWELDER MIG-205DS PRO for my son, who is just getting started with welding, and we are both extremely impressed. First off, this machine is very beginner-friendly. The controls are intuitive, setup was straightforward, and it didn’t overwhelm him like some higher-end industrial welders can. That said, it definitely doesn’t feel like a “beginner-only” machine. What really surprised us is the penetration on 110V. My son specifically mentioned that even running on standard household power, the welds have solid penetration and consistency, which is something you don’t always see at this price point. When switched to 220V, it’s a completely different beast. The 5-in-1 multiprocess capability is a huge bonus: Gas MIG Flux Core MIG Spool Gun MIG (great for aluminum) Lift TIG Stick welding This makes it a welder he can grow into as his skills improve, instead of outgrowing it in a year. Build quality feels solid, the arc is smooth, and it runs reliably without random issues or overheating. For hobbyists, DIYers, and especially new welders, this is an outstanding value.
