Using the equational framework set forth by Hawking Et Al in his seminal papers on vacuum energy within infinite superpositional wine containers, we know that the MTP of near earth space is approximately 2.56x10q7. And that of a 375mL bottle is 1.56c43. By envoking Boyles law, we also know that any two pressure-vaccum systems are dependently independent with respect to their separate wave function equations. When considering these wave functions harmonic resolution, we find the average MTP difference is, interestingly, also the distance between the Earth and our nearest black hole, V616 Monocerotis. Will these work?** A: Yes they will work and you will hear the click just like the new plugs. I just had to replace my old Vacu Vin pump after 20 plus years and noticed the change in the plug design and was worried the old ones wouldn't work but they do. **Q: Does this work on beer bottles?** A: I have never tried it, but I would tend to think it would not work. My reasoning being that wine is not carbonated and beer is carbonated. They do make a different type of stopper for champagne (which is carbonated) which may work for beer. Once again never tried it. I've tried it mostly with white wines and have noticed that if I pump the air out of a bottle, wait a day and then try attaching the pump to the stopper and pumping again, there is then more air to remove which suggests that the seal is not perfect and does let some air in. When I've used it though the wine has been better after a few days than I'd expect it to be without using the Vacu Vin. I think it works even better if you pump the air out of the bottle once per day. All in all I'd say expect it to give your wine another day or two of drinkability but not too much more than that. Though maybe it depends on the kind of wine? I have only tried it with white of similar types.
