Strike Master Magnesium and Flint Fire Starter 
 
Unlike other inferior prodcuts, the Strike Master Fire Starters have a 98% pure Magnesium rod with Flint attached to a convenient handle, 
which not only provides a better grip, it can also be a source of fine, dry tinder. Use tinder from the handle, magnesium flakes, or collected tinder to ignite 
a fire in almost any condition. Don't be caught unprepared! Once the technique of this fire starter is mastered, you will be able to start a fire almost anywhere!

Medium: 1/4 x 2" Flint - Magnesium rod and flint provide approximately 25,000 strikes

Stick: 5 x 7/8 x 3/8 inches, weight: 1 oz 
 
 
Directions: 
1. Scrape off the Magnesium rod (light rod) or wood from the handle to create fine shavings 
2. Place tip of rod as close to shavings as possible 
3. Scrape the flint (dark rod) with the scraper to create sparks. The tip of the flint will be what ignites the tinder 
4. Continue to scrape flint until tinder is ignited 
Helpful hints: You can use any light, dry, flammable material as tinder. The Magnesium and Padauk are in case other materials don't work 
Hold scraper angled forward slightly, compared to the handle 
If scraper is lost, any hard edge can work - a sharp rock, a knife, etc.
