Arthritis in my hands has always required that I modify exercises with weight on my thumbs/wrists. These gloves are amazing. I now participate in full plank work and have been able to eliminate need for any modifications. And, am working muscles that haven’t been engaged due to modifications. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can do down-dog and planks again! *by S***C on Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2018* At first I thought they were too tight as they were a bit of a struggle to pull on, but once I got them on and started flexing my fingers, they seemed to have a bit of give. They do pull at the bottoms of fingers a bit during yoga, but I found if I just adjust my hand position a little bit, it takes the pressure off. They made a HUGE difference in my ability to do down-dog or plank positions; I couldn't do them at all without excruciating pain before these, and now, while not 100% pain-free, it is at a very manageable level (like 10%). I highly recommend these for folks with arthritis like me. I'm not sure if going to a medium would be better, as I'd worry they'd actually slide around and the gel part wouldn't be where I needed it. I've always worn size small gloves, so I think this is the right size. I haven't machine washed them, though they say you can; I think I'll just handwash to make sure they don't wear out too fast. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for yoga but needs a little improvement *by V***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2016* I have carpel tunnel syndrome and weak wrists and use these gloves for support during yoga. The padding and support feels great in the palms of my hands (not so much in the wrists) and they work well for most poses except for downward-facing dog. That pose requires you to push your hands down and slightly forward/away into the mat. The material between the fingers of the gloves doesn't have much give and gets pulled back very tight, cutting into the webbing between my fingers. After a few seconds in that pose, it becomes too painful and I have to stop.
