Is it a hard-plastic feeling or a softer-rubber type feeling?** A: Hard plastic, but if you put your fingernail to it, it gives a little. A little like a cross between the two, perhaps due to the fact that the tool is of a higher quality. With the plastic-y handle, it does not collect nearly as much dirt, and is therefore easier to clean. Regardless, some people prefer the softer rubber. **Q: How do they compare to Klein or channellock?** A: The marvel are high quality like Klein or channelock. However there design is very different they are shorter only like 8 1/4 inches and the cutting edges are a shear cut type. And the nose meets flush unlike Klein that have a small gap. They preform well and are comfortable but we’re designed for a market that uses mostly NM sheathed cables and stranded wire. I would not use them to cut MC or BX or any of the harder things you can easily cut with standard linemans. **Q: How much voltage is it rated for?** A: These pliers are non insulated.
