But on opening it up I found it's not well made at all. As it has a metal body it should be earthed (or at the very least have all internal connections double insulated) but there is no internal connection between the earth pin and the body. The wires inside carrying live and neutral are as thin as bell wire. This poses a fire risk. As mentioned in another review the mains sockets on either end are connected together, so when you power it from one end, the male pins at the other become live! It does come with a tiny piece of clover-leaf shaped piece of plastic to push fit into one end to cover the pins, but that doesn't make it very safe.
