Has a rather solid frame construction (feels like a thick plastic sheet), the rest of it is soft but works to its advantage, i could easily fit this into my mini backpack and spread it out as i needed.It is slightly larger than the backpack but this is the smallest size available. A very tight fit which can be easily fixed if u fold the top and/or sides slightly (takes a little effort because its plastic not cardboard).Lots of little pockets and compartments which i found very useful and definitely helped in organizing my backpack and keeping everything neatly in its place rather than piled on top Of each other.Overall very satisfied with purchase. I opted for a light colour so i can see contents easily since the backpacks have a rather small opening and it can be harder to look into a small black opening.
