I have scars on my bikini line from ingrown hairs from shaving too often with cheap razors and no shaving cream. I did it every week or more from the 7th grade to about freshman year of college. I’m a senior in college and since I’ve stopped shaving (I get laser hair removal now), I’ve tried everything you can think of to lighten my bikini area: lemons and tumeric, letting the area feel sunlight, multiple lightening creams, etc. They never worked. I’ve been using this stuff for a little over 3 weeks. The first picture is a few days after I started using it and the 2nd picture is today, about 23 days. The first few weeks I was peeling, I peeled a lot on the 2nd week. I’m not peeling as much but I still get a little. During this peeling process you want to exfoliate the area, not everyday but about 3 times a week. I just used sugar, olive oil, and a toothbrush and gently brushed the area. It’ll get annoying but hang in there. After exfoliating, use lotion immediately. Then use the product. Use it day and night. When I put it on there’s a thin white layer you can see on there, if I’m going swimming I don’t put it on or I wipe it off. Right now when I put it on it stings and gets a little red but it’s definitely working for me. Everyone’s body reacts differently. The lower part of my bikini line, inside my thighs, got darker from the product so I stopped going so low when applying it and the darkness is going away. If the area gets darker, stop using it, it’ll just get darker and darker until it’s black. But overall I’m impressed. I’ve been trying to get rid of these scars because they make me so self conscious to a point where I look in the mirror and cry. Wearing swimsuits terrified me, I have a great body, but the scars looked so bad. Now they’re getting better and they’re faded. Some people are applying the product as often as every 2 hours. This is over use. If you are SkinType 4, 5,6 your skin is more sensitive and in some rare cases may darken. This stuff is AMAZING. I’m a Black woman with what they’re categorizing now (I cant keep up with the changes) “as “4c” hair. Mine should actually be “4z” cuz it’s thick, more coiled than curly, unruly, deliciously wild, hard to tame...and EXTREMELY prone to ingrown everything, everywhere.So I tried this based on all the positive reviews just before a beach trip a few years ago. AMAZING, but pricey. Tried TendSkin afterward. It is very good too, but in my opinion it stings WAY more & it doesn’t have the dark spot vanisher thing like pfb Vanish + Chromabright does. So I went back to this one and DAMN!So I use this under my arms, on my bikini line AND on my chin (cuz I’m taking some meds that make me grow hair there & UGH! Of course it grows in & then there are nasty dark spots & bumps ON MY FACE and blahblahblah it sucks.) Anyway, first it tingles - not quite a sting, but close. Feels a lil slimy. Then I exfoliate the next shower time. Reapply. It stings, but not unbearably AT ALL. Not like ‘set your cooch on fire’ stinging. And the rollerball really helps with product placement. All the crevices & bits are covered, if U knowhutImean. Then, after 3 or 4 days, the peeling begins. It’s alarming at first, cuz it’s a pretty significant peel, but underneath is smooth, non-discolored skin!!! It’s like an unboxing or a reveal!Now, I’m not saying these stubborn hairs have been forever completely banished, just 99% AND you have to keep using the product. It makes the skin that thickens when the hair doubles back thinner, so the few that still insist on circling in are MUCH easier to tweeze away - no more digging & bleeding & leaving scans & craters...I know I’m not the only one! And 99% better is...u know it...AMAZING!Wish I had before & after pics. And wish I had another word for amazing...cuz it is.LADIES - make this a staple in your summer body prep.DUDES - lay this under that chin & on the back of that head (yep, the kitchen) now & thank me later.Only downside is it’s PRICEY. Mine was damn near $30 for 93g AND you need to always have it to keep the ingrown-free results.Upside (other than IT WORKS) is that it’s healing years of thickened skin, scars & dark spots.So I hope this helps.
