Only one of the night lamps came with a bulb inside, but I don't recommend incandescent bulbs because the unit gets hot. Instead, the G7 Power Boulder LED 0.5 Watt (5W) 15 Lumen C7 Night Light Bulb, 2900K Soft White Light, E12 Base 2-Pack works better and is LED plus it stays cool and provides nicer light. My youngsters love this lamp and it's a great solution to tiny-plug-in night lights that don't provide the warmth that this one does, without affecting sleep or emitting too much light. The light bulb it came with is a 12w I went to my local Walmart and picked up an LED 4w for like $1. This allowed the night light to be less bright. Although it did the job what I did noticed after exchanging the bulb for a less watts is the stars on the wall. You can't see them. The room is lit. It's cute to look at but no stars. Maybe because the light isn't strong enough? I did see the stars with the strong bulb. This is just my experience.
