Review: Bright and Durable License Plate Lights - The RUXIFEY LED License Plate Lights are a great upgrade for my Ford F150. Review: Lights flickered then stopped working - The lights were overly bright in my opinion more than I expected but I purchased them because I needed the plastic housing since the tabs broke on my old ones. (I had purchased LED plug in bulbs before to swap the original factory housing dim halogen bulbs, but the tabs were broken on the plastic housing and these were cheaper than buying just the housing part alone.) After just having them for a few months, one night driving home I saw that one of the lights was flickering rapidly, as in maybe not getting a good connection. Then the next day the other side started to do the same. Not much to my surprise they stopped working both right after. I haven’t fooled with them in a minute so the other day I decided to figure out what was going on, thinking that my wiring harness must’ve shorted out or whatever. I tested both plugs and got a steady 12v reading (if you switch the positive and negative you get the same reading but negative volts which proves the correct direction of power flow). I wish I had taken a video but was mostly concerned at the time of trying to test what was going on. The lights are completely trash now and I can’t return them. Cheap doesn’t last long (although I’m still not paying $17 each for ford factory plastic housing parts!). Also a heads up for anyone reading they are extremely bright but not in a good way in my opinion. Yes it todays market, marketing the brightest lights you can sounds great and all, but isn’t always practical. The lights give so much glow back under the housing pieces in the bumper and is way to sharp of a line going up it doesn’t look very clean. Bulbs give a neater pattern for my liking but that part is what it is. Some people probably like it.

**Q: What is the life span on this LED license plate lights**
A: I've bought 2 pairs within 2 years and both times the LED lights burned out or started flickering. The Lifespan depends my first pair lasted about a Year and a Half without issues, then the flickering lights began. The second pair only lasted a few months before the flickering began and then burned out. As far as buying these license plate lights it's a gamble based on other replies and reviews.

**Q: Would this fit a 1999 ford ranger xlt.**
A: Hello, I bought one set of these, which failed (started blinking). Then I decided to buy another set because they would fit the holes I had already drilled. One of the lights of that set has now also failed. Don't buy these.
I bought them for a homemade bumper for a Toyota Tundra, so I can't answer whether they will fir a Ranger, bit I strongly advise you to stay away from this product.

**Q: What is the diameter of mounting hole?**
A: Can't really  tell you that but it will fit any ford truck or suv it's a plug and play just remove wire from old light set, and plug this into wiring harness

**Q: Purchased this for my 2010 ford f150 truck. the wiring connections is quite different from the oem connection. not plug and play. how do i install**
A: I have a 2016 f250 so may be different.  Mine just plugged into the slot that the bulb was in
