It works perfectly. It is well built and a quality tool mimicking the much more expensive OEM version, but perhaps even better since the handle is more comfortable offering better grip. If you are attempting to use it, follow the same instructions as those for the OEM tool (which has the same faults): Make sure you hook it in the right place, tug hard. real hard, make sure you use two hands to steady the unit so it does not fly away and make sure you put your finger on top of the tool in the vent so it does not unseat and scratch the inside of the vent. Why Mercedes could not figure out a better process is beyond imagining, but this tool gets the job done at a good price. Bonus -- I now have two of them.... However, although two two are included don’t be tempted in insert two at the same time. Because of the tight clearance between the dash and the instrument cluster, inserting two at the same time can cause pressure against one of the top shafts causing a crack or break in the instrument cluster lens.
