The filter accepts any universal 2.5 x 10 inch cartridge. Cartridges are not included. Review: Heavy duty unit. - I purchased this unit to install on the hot water line that runs to our large shower in the master bath. The dual shower unit has the auto adjust heat settings, and multiple jets, including body jets. About every 6 months, I would need to disassemble the control unit, and clean out a fine residue that built up on the ultra fine mesh screens inside the handles. Even with softened municipal water, these screens would clog up and the water pressure would go down to a trickle in 3-6 months. I isolated it to the issue to hot water only. This cleaning process was not fun, as it was a timely process. I installed this unit on the hot water line going to the bath, and installed a 5 micron filter. The unit is heavy duty, and built to withstand the hot water. So far, after 6 months, the pressures are fine. I'll be changing the cartridge soon. Review: Product worked perfectly for my required application - Installed filter on kitchen facet hot water line to prevent clogging facet. Worked as expected and elimintated the problem. Filter was shipped on time and received earlier then the predicted ETA. My plumber and I agreed it's better to filter the water going in, to preserve the heater tank. My appliances agree as well, no more staining!!! **Q: Is this housing suitable for sun exposed areas** A: Should be OK. It's a very thick plastic, so the UV should not penetrate deep enough to cause structural damage. The color might fade. of course. **Q: Will 2.5 x 9.75 cartridges work? Specifically the high temp filters by KleenWater.** A: It uses the standard sediment or taste&oder filters sold at any home center or hardware store. If you are using super hot water then use the high temp filters. **Q: Here can I get a wrench for the Kemflo 10" hot water filter housing?** A: When I bought mine it came with a wrench. Which I didnt use. I just turned it with my hand.
