It rarely closes automatically, and regularly opens unexpectedly. It did function ok for about three or four days but I had to unplug it for a minute and then once I plugged it back in, it never functioned properly again. I had to manually close it and then it would just randomly open up and release the phone while I am driving. I now have a cracked screen on my brand new iPhone 11 pro as a result of it falling out and crashing to the floor. I should have known before purchasing it that if it seems too good to be true-it probably is. Lesson learned. The only good thing about this is the suction...that worked very well. So now thanks to the pandemic I have to wait for who knows how long to replace my cracked phone. Thanks for nothing!****UPDATE****As you will see in my original review the company sent me a message and offered apologies for the product not working. I also got an email saying they would refund the full price or replace the item.Great!I asked for a refund since I did not wish to take a chance on another one. They said they would happily offer a refund but asked that I remove my review and replace it with a 5 star review. My response was that I would be happy to add to my review stating that they did the right thing-after they follow through with a refund. Their response was that they would send the refund only after I remove my review and replace it with the 5 star review. The person emailing said that her "manager" would be more likely to approve a refund if I gave them a 5 star rating.Nope. Refund first- then I amend the review. Then they came back with "sorry my manager would not approve your refund but we can give you half back when you change your review".Uhhh....no. I told them that the review stands and I would write an additional review to reflect the extortion attempt.I had to replace a brand new iPhone 11 Pro after this product dropped it unexpectedly and it broke. That was bad enough, The response from this shady company just made it worse!This company not only sells crap-they border on criminal! Needless to say I never heard from them again, which is fine. So buyer beware-this is a company run by hacks that makes inferior over priced garbage!! I'm so infuriated by the company I am tempted to contact the Better Business Bureau as well! This is my second Zeehoo purchase.I quickly assembled the mount noting a smart design with the minimum of parts.The unit has a soft no scratch pad for your phone to rest on. The powered mount senses a phone and clamps it securely. You can loosen it, change the angle and then tighten it. No tools required. (Don't do this while driving). A bracing arm allows the mount to hold exactly position you want.My technophobe wife has no trouble getting her large LG V20 just right. My smaller Samsung S9 fits just as snugly.On bumpy Pittsburgh rodes, a secure mount is important. ZooHoo makes it easy to attach the unit securely to your car vent.I haven't tried the included suction cup mount yet. Frankly the vent mount is so perfect that I probably won't bother.The maker includes a USB-C power cord. This powers the automatic arms and the fast Qi wireless charging. You must supply a car adapter rated for fast wireless charging.A discrete green indicator confirms your mount and your smartphone are getting power. The arms release at the touch of a silver button.I gave a previous unit to my wife - I'm going to keep this one!I will update in a month to discuss durability. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ release button- more updates *by D***M on Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2020* I wish it came with a mechanical/manual release button. It comes with a motorized release button (when the car is on) - however mine worked only once and stopped working... also these two buttons don’t have enough tactility... so you’re not sure if it’s pressed or not. For the price, not worth it.However it charged my iPhone 11 😊 a champ. One thing that I’m not sure is when it reaches full 100% charge, if it automatically stops charging....UpdateSupport replaced my charger a new one and works great!For buyer do double check your power source (amperage). Buttons are more like touch sensitive kind instead of ones with mechanical tactility... so no physical feedback....Update 2The ring that holds the sphere parts finally broke off- I think the density and thickness of plastic is too weak for holding my iPhone in place for long time.
