Eventually the radiator cools & will need turning back on again if its to keep the room at a desired temperature. We would definitely buy again. **Q: What are the 3 heat settings** A: These are excellent heaters work well and can be set to higher or lower temperatures depending on room size. **Q: how expensive does this radiator cost to run - is it quite economical?** A: The answer is it depends on your unit cost of electricity, if you are currently on the price cap at 34p/unit (or kWh) and run the radiator at the full 2kW it would cost 68p/hr to run (assuming it is on full power the whole time). Assuming that you don't have the thermostat whacked up to full then it would depend on how well-insulated your room/house is, the faster the room temperature drops the more often it would turn on, this is individual to your property. It was very well packaged and easy to set up once unpacked. It heats my living room to a very comfortable temperature quickly even on the lowest heat and I live in a house with no double glazing and original lead windows! I work late in the evening so the timer kicks in about 15 minutes before I am due home from work taking the edge off the chill in the room as I turn the central heating off while I'm out for eight hours at work. The 2 mode protection gives me the confidence to know that the heater will shut off if I'm out and there is an issue so I'm happy for the timer to control the heater while I'm out. My only very minor issue is the fact you can't override the timer other than setting all the pegs to on for all day heat but at the moment I'm happy with the settings I have programmed.
