It is a fantastic game knife and it's green micarta scales have great grip, but are a bit thin for my tastes. I recently bought the newly released S35V version of the AGK with the new contoured brown canvas micarta scales. While the S35V blade is perfect, the new contoured brown micarta scales are infused/covered in so much bonding agent they a far too slick to provide safe grip as a game knife, and still a bit on the thin side. I sent that version back and have ordered a S35V AGK with the orange/black G10 scales hoping it will be adequately grippy.
