A: It comes in a prepackaged box with front and side cutouts so you can see the toy.

**Q: Which "Silly Circus" clown do you actually get now?  The first picture shows a split hat, while the other pictures show more of a dunce cap look...?**
A: We received the clown with the dunce cap.  I was very pleased with the construction of the jack in the box, too; the metal box and lid is very sturdy and not flimsy.

**Q: Does the monkey jump up at the same point in the song or does  his "jump" have surprise timing?**
A: I wouldn't know the repeat because it only worked once , then the latch broke and the monkey is out all the time. This thing blows.

Cute jack in the box toy!!! Clown is cute!! Works well! Music cute! I bought for grandson & he is almost 2 & he loved it but was kind of hard for him to push down & push down lid too! I had to help him each time! But was an interactive toy for him & I do together so that was fun for both of us! Made well so I would recommend!
