No need for anything else, I'm not an electrician so this is fully user friendly.Brightness is great, room of about 30 square meters got so much light as if the sun is directly shining through the window, which is also strange since this is from the side of the western window which doesn't get this kind of bright light.It hums a bit, this must be the built in fan, but for example TV which was turned on and set to low volume didn't need readjustment to be audible.I'm curious what the electricity bill at the end of the month will be like, but as far as disruption of other electrical devices goes my fears where unfounded - there was not a glitch when I turned it on.I can't assess longevity yet, but the main reason why I bought it - to light up a otherwise big room which is always slightly dark is justified.
