Review: Good part - Works good Review: The curve of it's electrical resistance response to temperature does not match spec. Unacceptable. - Installed in a '89 Jeep Wagoneer 4.0L. Observing the IAT sensor readout on a Renduinix REM II+, this unit corresponded to only 74Β°F even at full engine warmup. I measured it's resistance whith a multimeter, which was far from the specified change curve published for this sensor, i.e., resistance is supposed to become lower with increased temps. Thus the ECU always read it as "cold", and wouldn't switch from Open Loop to Closed Loop; fuel mix stayed Rich, poor MPG/performance. Reinstalled an old IAT sensor with a resistance that's stuck at ~200Β°F: engine runs fine again.
