Review: Great product for tough stains - This is a great product for tough stains. I had a large dog-created stain (throw up) in our light carpet in our finished basement. I tried Nature's Miracle but couldn't get the stain out. Had the carpet steam-cleaned a couple of times but the stain was set in and couldn't be removed with steam-cleaning. I tried Folex cleaner yesterday and the stain is more or less gone. I liberally sprayed the area with the cleaner and used a soft brush to scurb the carpet. Blotted out the wet carpet with Bounty and the stain was lifted out of the carpet. This is a great product and works as advertised. Good price too for a large 1 liter bottle.

Having some light colored wool rug and also Berber rug needed to try to clean spots. Used it for old spots and even blood from cut and it was good for both. Relatively easy to use. Follow directions of saturation, gently use finger to loosen stain and blot with clean cloth. I used a paper towel. Very happy with effectiveness.

A: According to Folex customer service: "The Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover is the product that we have been making for over 50 years, and continue to make today. We have a newer product called Folex Professional Carpet Spot Remover sold only at your local Bed Bath & Beyond stores. Chemically, they work equally to one another. However, the design of the Professional bottle is for high use with a shorter bottle (easy on the wrist) that holds 34 oz of product."

**Q: Will this harm the color of the carpet?**
A: No it will not harm your carpet since Folex Professional Carpet Spot Remover is a water-based, non-ionic surfactant that utilizes water to wash the stain away for safe and virtually residue-free cleaning

**Q: Would this be ok to use on car upholstry?**
A: I would think so, we use it on our boat carpeting and I've used it on my couch.  I would try any area on the back first just to make sure it does react badly.
