Se poi osassimo paragonarlo agli Zippo di nuova generazione, per intenderci, quelli con placca decorata applicata sulla cassa liscia e spoglia (anzi, incollata alla bene e meglio, se vogliamo dirla tutta)... beh, ci ritroveremmo catapultati addirittura in un' altra dimensione. Tutt'altra consistenza, peso e, soprattutto, tutt'altra resa estetica ed esperienza tattile: la cassa Armor è notevolmente più spessa e le decorazioni, su tutti e 4 i lati, sono incise in profondità e realizzate in maniera magistrale, niente a che vedere con le classiche, superficiali incisioni al laser e il loro feeling decisamente cheap. Non ho trovato info dettagliate sul materiale utilizzato per la cassa (non è certo argento Sterling) e così, ad occhio, propenderei per una lega argento + ottone: il risultato visivo è decisamente convincente e del tutto simile all'argento con svariati decenni sulle spalle. Uso accendini Zippo da una quindicina d'anni e, in questo lasso di tempo, ho potuto constatare (insieme a tanti altri aficionados del brand) un lento ma costante crollo della qualità di questi magnifici accendini ma, con questo Tree of Life, Zippo mi ha riconquistato alla grande.
