This one though surprised me. Whoever designed this coffee press must drink coffee because the removable stainless steel container that the coffee beans go in is brilliant! 🤓 One of my pet peeves of coffee grinders is how do you clean out the inside bowl without getting water inside of the mechanical mechanisms? This solves that issue flawlessly. Well thought out ... Furthermore, the grinder is absolutely beautiful. Grinders are usually one color and you might get a modern one but they're just a grinder. However, every time I look at this one, I think it's very elegant and beautifully done. Again, well thought out. NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!! There is no seal that protects the motor. After a few times of rinsing, the motor wouldn't start. I shook the device and could hear water in the lower chamber. This is a great grinder otherwise! I grind up spices, herbs and coffee. I will get one strictly for coffee and another for herbs and spices and no more rinsing! **Q: Does anyone know if this grinder works well at grinding flaxseed?** A: I grind flax seed with this grinder. It turns flax seed in to a fine pulp I use for my smoothies. I use two tablespoons of flax seeds in this grinder at a time, pulse it a few times and then run it continuously for about 10 or so seconds and the flax seeds are nicely ground. **Q: Is the inside plastic or metal/glass? If it is plastic, does it chip or cloud over time?** A: The bottom of the bowl where the blade is, is metal for about 1/2" to 3/4" in the deepest part in the center. Above that it is white plastic and the smoky colored plastic cap fits down into this area while grinding. My new grinder has no chipping, and my old Krups grinder, (same design, purchased and used since the mid '80's!) has only one tiny bit of chipping on the very edge of the plastic cap. But it was used daily grinding coffee beans. My old grinder has held up over those 30 years better than I have. LOL! The cap on my old grinder did not cloud up over time. **Q: Can you fine grind for espresso?** A: This Q&A section applies to both the Krups F203 Blade grinder and the Krups GX5000 Burr grinder. (Not sure why Amazon insists on grouping reviews and questions for disimular items.) If you are asking about the F203 blade grinder, then no, it is not recommended for pump espresso machines.
