None have broken, although one of the luncheon plates does have a small chip. I've added several pieces to the set to make a service for 12 and to include some items that were unavailable at the time of the original set. The set has survived multiple interstate moves over the years with no problems and has been used in the microwave, washed in the dishwasher, and occasionally placed in the oven at low temp (below 350 Fahrenheit). Our church also has a service for 40 (dinner plates, luncheon plates, cereal/soup bowls, open-handled cups and saucers) that was purchased before mine. Over time, two dinner plates have disappeared as have two bowls.
