For that insight, I found the book Nikon D3200: From Snapshots To Great Shots (by Rob Sylvan) to be more useful and instructive. I did find that the two books made good companions for each other, however, and would recommend both for D3200 owners who want to really understand both how their camera works and how to take great photographs with it. Review: The perfect learning tool - A well written guide that covers all topics of this camera. It was very useful to me as a beginner to not only the D3200 itself but also photography in general. A truly priceless guide for all level photographers, I imagine. Well written for beginners, easy to read language without all the camera "speak". Just bought my Nikon D3200 and can fairly say I couldn't do without this comprehensive learners guide. So much to learn, so little time. Not only does the book cover the mechanics of the D3200, he goes into actually how to "take pictures" which is camera agnostic. I've only through 3 chapters now, but anxious to read more. It was worth the price, especially if you are new to DSLR and or the Nikon D3200 unit. BTW, he writes a book for damn near every Nikon on the market.
