I think they work perfectly! I ladle the hot soup in, pop the lids on, and put them directly into the freezer. When it's time to eat them you just take them out of the freezer, pop the container directly into the microwave (after removing the lid, of course) and microwave away. No need for thawing.The reason these get four instead of five stars is that they do get flexible when hot liquids are in them. They don't collapse or spill, but you need to be careful. Just be delicate and there won't be any issues. Also, the lids are not a tight fit. This is fine for me, since I freeze the soup and microwave it from frozen, but don't plan to take anything liquid in them for any distance. The lid may pop off.I really enjoy these for giving family members leftovers since there is no need to return the container! ### ⭐ Total waste of money *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2016* I thought I was ordering the bowls with lids. I was going to use for soups in catering. Turns out I only ordered the bowls so had to go back and order lids.
