In addition to this, last night my daughters g-tube popped out of her stomach and started pumping liquid onto the mattress protector. It did not leak through to the mattress at all. There are many other mattress protectors that will do the job, but for me, these are the best because of the total ease of changing and the fact that they are so large that not once has one slipped around and moved out of place at night. Why does the 2nd set, supposed to be the same, bunches all up?** A: I don't know why she sticks to the second set -- could it be the fabric of her nightclothes? I can only wear nylon gowns now; no cotton, no flannel, no knit. Buying more because we now have more kids! I ordered another brand that hugs the mattress like a fitted sheet but those didn’t hold up as waterproof and were a pain to have an additional fitted item. These were the winner by far! Thick yet easy to wash and dry, they don’t really move while on bed.
