Once I got the wheel started, it cut the 16 gauge galvanized sheet steel almost as fast as I could move the angle grinder. It took me 15 minutes to cut the old cap into pieces. This Diamond wheel is far superior to the vitrified cutoff wheels that are a mess and degrade quickly. The rapidly decreasing diameter of the vitrified wheels also make them cut slower. So I played by the town and waste law rules, didn’t violate any environmental laws and got rid of the cap thanks to this Diamond cutoff wheel. As you can see, I made it fit in the trash can. Caution; make sure you have the right sized arbor on the lock nut. I had to buy an adapter to get mines to fit my Makita (5/8 to 7/8) SHDIATOOL 7/8-Inch to 5/8-Inch Saw Blade 1.0mm-1.2mm Thickness Bushing(10-Pack). Makita has screwy dimensions for its small angle grinders.
