Only the short part of tablet holder, that is attached to the mic stand, is included with the tablet holder. **Q: How wide does this stretch open** A: It opens wide enough to fit an iPad Air mini comfortably. **Q: does installing it higher like in the picture make the mic stand top heavy and apt to fall?** A: I have not had that experience. I have mine installed high to operate my iPad and it's fine.
