New Mexico Clay - Terra Sigillata Redart

## Features

- Redart Terra Sigillata is a very refined clay slip, it is usually polished to a high sheen and low-fired. Apply 3-8 flowing coats to leather hard or dry, smooth, clay. Allow to dry and polish with a soft cloth or chamois. Fire to any temperature you like but the shine is best around Cone 017 (1450F). Redart terra Sig will turn to glaze over Cone 3. Other colors may be used higher.

Neatly packaged product that yields a good result! So much easier than preparing terra sigillata the way I learned that includes measuring, mixing and siphoning. The directions for application and firing were vague, so I did not rely on them and assumed  that the manufacturer was suggesting that the product is versatile over a wide range of techniques.

I wanted to try terra sig on some slumped bowls that I made, but didn't want to take the time to create my own. This product was great! Good coverage, and looked great after applying 3 coats and buffing. I ordered 2 more from them and all were perfect!
