I can’t say if the mist is actually helping the cough but I must say the design is wonderful. It’s small and stylish and looks good on the night stand. It features glowing lights which can be set to one shade or keep going on a loop. The mood lighting is pleasant but may need to be turned off for bedtime depending on how much light annoys your sleep. It doesn’t bother my daughter and she likes it left on at night. The optional usb fan helps disperse the mist around the room. The optional usb light is perfect for nighttime reading. It has an extremely quiet ‘hiss’ sound when running and my daughter finds this relaxing at bedtime. Despite its small tank, the water lasts a good 12 hours.
