I did not want to spend the money and put it off for several years putting up cheaper meters that I did not know if I was selecting the correct setting and did not know it the meters were even accurate. I knew that some other inspectors used protimeter as well. I finally bit the bullet and was surprised of how simple it was to use and figure out. I dont have to go through menus and guess at the wood species or anything else. I am also confident of its accuracy as it comes with a calibration tool.
