Made in 100% organic wool coloured with non-toxic eco-friendly dyes, these are a medium knit to heavy knit, suitable for every day wear yet thick enough to keep feel comfortable and warm in wellies. Eco-pioneers Hirsch Natur have been making their excellent quality socks in Germany for over 70 years. The environmental impact of step of the production process is carefully considered, right down to their solar powered knitting machines! These wonderful socks make particularly good gifts! Care: Hirsh recommend their wool socks are worn for one day and aired for two. Like this they will need only very occasional washing. Wool is hostile to bacteria but this property is reduced by alkaline cleaning agents so it's please ensure that these are washed with a specialist detergent for wool. By hand is best but a delicate machine cycle at 30deg is also fine.

They do shrink even if you try to wash carefully by hand so buy a size too big.
